On 12 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic went to Wat Dhammakittiwong in Prague to perform ceremonies on the occasion of Navamindra Maharaj Day 13 October 2026 starting with a wreath-laying ceremony in remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, which were attended by Ambassador’s spouse, together with officials and staff of the Embassy and Team Thailand in the Czech Republic. Then, the Ambassador presided over a religious ceremony to dedicate merit to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, during which His Eminence Phra Phothikunvides, the abbot, as well as other monks performed Buddhist chanting, followed by the Ambassador and participants practicing meditation upon the abbot’s guidance. Finally, the Ambassador led all participants in offering monk’s robes, monastic supplies and food to monks before the ceremony came to an end.
