On the evening of 29 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic and spouse, together with the Embassy’s personnel, joined the “Thai Cultural Night” that was organised by the Thai Students’ Association in Czechia, with the Embassy’s support, at Charles University, Prague. On this occasion, the Ambassador gave remarks to participants which comprised over 100 Thai and international students studying in the Czech Republic about the essence of Songkran Festival or Thai Traditional New Year - the main theme of the event. He also emphasised the importance of people-people connectivity and invited international students to pay a visit to Thailand to experience “Thainess” first hand. In the meantime, the Thai student host has arranged multiple activities to showcase Thai culture, including a quiz game about Thailand to win souvenir prizes. All participants also had a chance to taste authentic Thai dishes, prepared by Thai chefs from the Ambassador’s Residence. The Embassy wishes to commend the Thai Students’ Association in Czechia for this initiative to organise the ‘Thai Cultural Night’ and is glad that all the young attendees had a wonderful time while learning more about each other during this event.
