On February 18, 2026, H.E. Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, and Mrs. Vibha Boonsud, his spouse, arrived in Prague to officially assume his duties. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Supsin Chimplee, Minister Counsellor, and embassy’s officials and staffs.

On February 19, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Pichit presented the Letter of Credence and the Letter of Recall of his predecessor to H.E. Mr. Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic. The ceremony was held at the Prague Castle with full honors.

Following the ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Pichit and his wife hosted a reception to express their appreciation to the Protocol Department of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On this occasion, Team Thailand in Prague also attended the reception to congratulate them on their new position.
