Between 2 and 4 April 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Trade Center in Prague undertook the In-Store Promotion activity at the Globus Hypermarket in Cerny Most, Prague.  The objective of the activity was to promote Thai food products to wider public in the Czech Republic, particularly jasmine rice, noodles, instant food, ingredients and sauces, such as curry paste, coconut milk, canned bamboo shoots and canned tuna.

During the three-day activity, cooking demonstration of Thai food was performed by experienced Thai chef.  Interested customers were invited to taste the samples of Thai food, for instance chicken spicy soup, chicken green curry, stir-fried chicken with spicy sauce, fried mixed vegetables with oyster sauce and chicken red curry, together with boiled jasmine rice.  Thai cooking products and ingredients were also showcased, as well as Thai cookbooks were distributed.  The activity was received well by Czech and foreign customers of all ages.  There were approximately 1,000 audiences per day viewing the cooking demonstration.  As a result, sale of Thai food products already on the nearby shelves in Globus was boosted greatly.
